Hold_Space.om
Bad Trip to a Good Space
Narrative & Festival Context
Festival Program Note
Inside the Sanctuary Tent, a flower-crowned guitarist with a long, lazy “fer sure” drawl trades solos for breathing exercises, pressing mugs of water and tea into shaky felt hands. While the rest of the park chases peak drops, she and a handful of harm-reduction angels keep the BPM low, talking panicked kids out of dark loops and reminding them the colors are just colors, they’re not falling, and they’re totally loved enough to ride the night out safely.
Lead Puppet Producer
Aria – Aria didn’t “write” Hold_Space.om so much as translate it. She spent an afternoon sitting quietly in one of the Zendo tents, watching volunteers offer water, shade, and steady voices to anyone who needed it, and the rhythm of that care became the track. The downtempo pulse mirrors a slowed heartbeat, the pads rise and fall like guided breaths, and the space between notes is intentional—room to land, room to feel, room to reset. She said the song practically wrote itself because all she had to do was listen to what was already happening: people holding space for each other until the night softened.
Track Dedication
Dedicated to DanceSafe, the Zendo Project and all the vibe guardians (official or otherwise). To the volunteers, peers, and staff who spend their nights sitting with scared, overloaded people and helping them come back to earth without judgment.
You’re the emotional paramedics and calm anchors of the party… the soft places where people can be honest, breathe, drink some water, and land safely. This song is a little love letter to the care you give: no panic, no punishment, just presence. Thank you for keeping festivals kinder and safer from the inside out.
