Narrative & Festival Context
Festival Program Note
Spotlight equals overload: couture cache hits 100% and cameras blink in unison. A glamorous powerhouse crashes systems by entering frame—then poses in the reboot. Warning: Show may involve extreme VFX that have been deemed a hazard by the FAA.
Lead Puppet Producer
Riff – Riff’s original version of Hiya.ha was her dream diva runway: tech-trance lifts, uplifty chords, and a drop that felt less like a stomp and more like a perfectly timed hair flip in slow motion. She built it as a love letter to The Diva’s control over a crowd—how a single “hiya” and a strut could overload every camera in the room without ever losing musical grace. When the note came down that it was “too trance, not enough devastation,” she took the cancellation on the chin, stuck a smiley face on the session folder, and told Nova, “Go break something beautiful with it.”
Track Dedication
Dedicated to the VFX crews, laser ops, content wranglers, and screen teams—... the people who make sure the spotlight divas actually have a world to stand in. You’re juggling renders, safety regs, and last-second “can we just…” notes while everyone else takes the credit. Please keep patiently explaining FAA Form 7140-1 to everyone; one day it might actually sink in.
And to the divas, streamers, and influencers living in that light: you're still human long after the metrics refresh. You were a whole person before the views, and you still matter when the numbers dip. This track is for you too.
