Unscheduled Performance — By Special Request

A five-track Bobku EP released by request: one more hard-edged dancefloor detour, one Cameos-side interruption, and an early glimpse at songs from the next corner of the Feltware world.

EP Released February 27, 2026 By Special Request Fan-Responsive Release Hardcore / EDM Detour Untold Preview

Unscheduled Performance was released on February 27, 2026 as a literal “by special request” release. One listener asked for another hardcore kind of Bobku track. Another asked for a sneak preview of new songs before Cameos arrived on March 20. So the schedule bent.

The result is a compact EP that works like an extra slot in the night: fan-responsive, slightly unruly, and not quite part of the original plan. It includes FELTWARE v2.3 (Dance Mode On), Booing Is Our Cardio, and three early Untold preview tracks ahead of that album’s expected future release.

Why “By Special Request”?

This EP exists because the schedule got interrupted by actual listeners.

One request was simple: more of the hard, fast, hardcore-adjacent Bobku energy. Another request was for a sneak preview before Cameos released on March 20, 2026. Instead of waiting for the next full album cycle, Unscheduled Performance became the place to put that energy.

By Special Request: not just a tagline. The EP is a response to people asking for more — more intensity, more preview material, and one more strange little opening in the run-of-show.

In-universe, it plays like an extra performance squeezed into the night after the clipboard was already printed. Real-world, it is Bobku acknowledging that the audience is now part of the feedback loop.

Tracklist

Five songs, one unscheduled slot. The EP bridges fan-requested intensity, Cameos-era character chaos, and three songs pointing toward Untold, the next larger story direction after Cameos.

# Title Subtitle Context
1 FELTWARE v2.3 Dance Mode On Fan-requested hard-edged Bobku energy; an upgraded Feltware-mode release.
2 Booing Is Our Cardio A Cameos-side detour with heckler energy, crowd-participation chaos, and no interest in behaving politely.
3 Food & Fame The Great Equalizer Early preview material from Untold, connecting public-facing spectacle to the quieter machinery behind it.
4 Chaos & The Curtain Call The Beautiful Wreck Early preview material from Untold, leaning into aftermath, performance, and the beautiful mess left when the show keeps moving.
5 Steel & Stitches Changeover Gospel Early preview material from Untold, built around the labor, hands, hardware, and repair work that hold the stage together.

Release Context

Most Bobku releases are arranged like parts of a larger system: albums, run-of-show placements, narrative arcs, and festival-world logic. Unscheduled Performance is deliberately more reactive. It came from the audience asking for something specific, and the project answering before the next full release cycle.

That makes it a useful little pressure valve in the catalog. It keeps the puppet-run festival world moving, gives listeners something requested rather than scheduled, and previews the more reflective Untold direction without pulling that album forward before it is ready.

Canon note: this EP behaves like a backstage detour. It belongs to the Bobku world, but it is not trying to replace the main album timeline. It is the extra cue that got called because the room wanted one more.

Visual Concept

The cover follows Bobku’s cast-based release system: puppet producer personas, performance energy, and a sense that the release is being pulled together just outside the official schedule. The artwork should feel like an invitation to an extra set rather than a formal album announcement.

The title does most of the work: Unscheduled Performance says this was not originally on the board, while By Special Request explains exactly why it exists.
